I'm Kelly Wright, a counsellor and mother, providing couples counselling sessions and 1:1 sessions for mothers.
Like for many women, my transition into motherhood was a turning point in my life. Despite years of working therapeutically with children and families, nothing could have prepared me for the profound changes and challenges that came with becoming a mother.
I found myself navigating a labyrinth of emotions, feeling lost and isolated, while caring for my unsettled baby who faced numerous health concerns. It was during this intense, vulnerable period that my passion for supporting women couples ignited into a holistic approach, intertwining the mind, body, and spirit.

For Mothers
Every mother deserves a space where her voice is heard, her feelings are validated, and her unique challenges are met with both expertise and compassion.
I provide personalised counselling that resonates with your unique story, ensuring support that's tailored to your individual journey.In our sessions, I create a safe environment for you to explore your emotions, face challenges, and experience healing and growth.
In understanding your experiences I consider your family of origin, your nervous system functioning, and the environment in which you are mothering within.
My focus is on building a collaborative relationship, empowering you to connect with your innate wisdom, discover internal strengths, and feel supported at every stage of motherhood.
For Couples
In my couple’s work, I focus on practical and effective strategies to improve how you and your partner communicate and connect, using Functional Family Therapy and Gottman’s Couples Therapy, whilst keeping your unique inner parts in mind.
I will support you as a couple to examine the underlying patterns of your communication so that you can discover healthier ways for you both to express and listen to each other’s needs and desires. As part of this work, I support couples to understand the functions of their current communication styles, aswell as their triggers to support a deepening of your mutual understanding of each other.
My approach also emphasises your strengths and shared values, guiding you toward relationship equity and meaningfully sharing responsibilities.
